Saturday, 11 July 2026, 10-11 AM JST Speaker: KANTO Asuka (Professor, Archaelogical Sciences, Department of History) 「縄文時代の資源利用から考えるヒトと環境」 　菅頭　明日香（青山学院大学 文学部 史学科教授） 人類は、太古の昔から粘土や石などの鉱物、また植物や動物といった身近な自然資源を、生活や社会、文化の中に取り込み活用してきた。1万年以上続いた縄文時代においても、日本列島の多様な地形や気候を基盤とした自然環境を巧みに利用し、またその影響を受けながら、世界でも独自の生活・文化が築かれてきた。本報告では、主に黒曜石と土器にスポットを当て、縄文時代の人々による鉱物資源の活用の実態の一端を、自然科学的な研究成果から紐解く。さらに、考古学研究と連携した苗場山麓ジオパークでの共同研究（テーマ：「地域資源鉱物と人類」）の取り組みも紹介したい。これらを踏まえ、縄文時代におけるヒトと環境の関わりについて考察してみたい。
